By plane

Rhodes International Airport “Diagoras” (RHO) is the only airport operating on the island and it is located on the West side of Rhodes. It is among the first four busiest airports in Greece, serving domestic flights from Athens, Thessaloniki and other regions of Greece as well as international flights from many European countries. As regards the domestic direct flights, in order to get to Rhodes from the airport of Athens the flight time is around 50 minutes. Additionally, from Thessaloniki (SKG) to Rhodes (RHO) the time flight is around 1h and 15 m. 

By sea

Apart from the flights, there is also another one way to get to Rhodes, by sea. Numerous ferries are offered by the Port of Piraeus especially during summer. The trip by ferry to Rhodes though lasts around 15-17 hours while with a high-speed it will take about 11-13 hours. Apart from Athens, there is also the option to get to Rhodes by ferry through other Greek Islands such as Kos, Symi and others.
