By plane

Unfortunately, there is no airport in Lefkada. Nevertheless, if you want to reach Lefkada by plane you can fly at a nearby airport and then rent a car or take the bus to Lefkada. The nearest airports in Lefkada are Preveza – Aktion International Airport (20km from Lefkada Town), Kefalonia – Kefalonia International Airport Anna Pollatou (116 km), Ioannina International Airport – King Pyrrhus (133 km) and Corfu International Airport – Ioannis Kapodistrias (151 km). Also, you can fly to Athens – Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport or Thessaloniki Airport – Makedonia and then take the bus or rent a car in order to reach Lefkada. From Athens Airport, Lefkada is about 4 hours and 20 minutes, while from Thessaloniki Airport is 4 hours and 30 minutes approximately. 

By bus

Lefkada is connected with mainland Greece by a bridge, giving the chance to every traveller to visit Lefkada easily and hassle-free. You can take the bus from any region in Greece, while from Thessaloniki and Athens run daily buses to Lefkada. 

By sea

Apart from flights and buses, you can also get to Lefkada by ferry. During summer, there are frequent daily ferries from Kefalonia and Ithaca to Lefkada. So, if you stay for your summer holidays at any of these two islands, why not grab a ferry and reach Lefkada easily and really quickly.
