By plane

Corfu International Airport “Ioannis Kapodistrias” serves several domestic as well as international flights from Europe and other cities of Greece, including Athens and Thessaloniki. Especially during summer, there are also numerous direct flights from the most prominent airports of Europe. The airport is located around 2 km away from Corfu Town οffering great views of Pontikonisi and Vlacherna Monastery. 

By sea

One of the best ways to get to Corfu is by ferry. Corfu is connected with many ports including Igoumenitsa and Patra in Greece as well as Venice, Bari and Ancona in Italy. From Igoumenitsa and Patra there are frequent daily ferries, making Corfu an easily accessible island by mainland Greece. From Igoumenitsa, the trip to Corfu takes 1 hour and 45 minutes while from Patra it takes about 6 hours. 

By bus

Apart from flights and ferries, you can also get to Corfu by bus. Either you are coming from Thessaloniki, Athens or anywhere else from mainland Greece, you can firstly reach Igoumenitsa and then take the ferry to Corfu or Lefkimi. The trip from Athens to Igoumenitsa lasts around 7 hours, while from Thessaloniki it takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes. Once you reach the port of Igoumenitsa you will also need 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to Corfu.
